SF9d - I highlight a small section (0.3s) of a 44k1/24/s file that is peaking at -0.2dBFS. If I apply even -50dB attenuation with the volume tool, the peak only goes down to -6dBFS ! Repeat and it stays the same. Any ideas ? geoff |

Do you get the same symptoms without and fades / with fades? |

Just tried same process on a different file on different computer + all oK. Will try to pin down whether it's the file itself confusing SF, or something unique to that install.. geoff |

Well, went back to original computer and setr up same scenario - wav opened in SF from CDA. Could not repeat the problem. To recap now that I've thought it out more clearly - the first time the waveform dropped by 6dB (the set amount). The second time it did not reduce, but something changed - I think the polarity reversed, which is what is subsequently did each time I hit Volume|OK , even when the attenuation was increased to -50dB for the selected glitch. Maybe I was just drunk ?!!! geoff geoff |
