This was supposed to be fixed with 9.0c.

For hardware metering to work on channels 3 to n, you need to have channel 1 and/or 2 in use. Sometimes if you assign a track to channel one and then reassign it to 3 the metering will keep working.

I'm not seeing this with my hardware in ASIO or Wave Classic (including an Echo device, but not a Layla).

Can you specify the exact repro and device settings on your machine?

J, I haven't been able to reproduce it. Law of demos, it never works when you try. It has definitely happened a few times with 9.0c and once with 9.0e.

Next time (if it happens) I'll copy everything and see if it's repeatable.
