It's a little hard to be sure what you mean but if, as I suspect, you are asking how you record another track while listening to the playback of an existing track then the answer is that you don't do this with Sound Forge. Instead you would use an application that is designed for this kind of use - either Vegas or Acid, for example, if you want to stick with Sony applications. (Sound Forge is very good at what it is designed to do but it is not designed to do multitrack audio work.) Mark |

A good start s to use the appropriate application. SF is not it - SF is an editor. You need a multi-track DAW, such as Vegas, Acid or another company's product. Unfortunately applications like Audition have confused the market by integrating the functions, and mis-using the term 'editor'. geoff |
