Peculiar, when I go to extract CD in Sound Forge 9e no drives are visible. They are there for Vegas 7, and CD Architect 5.2, and they were there in Sound Forge yesterday. I installed drivers for a HP 4010 scanner today, but I can't see how that would have affected just Sound Forge. Any ideas??????? Any suggestions. |

What OS are you using? I've seen this occur due to a permission issue. Granted, it was XP, and granted it was back in SF7, or possibly even SF5 - but it happened when the program was run as a user, and not under an administrator account. It may sound odd, but the printer driver could have had lots of effects indeed. If Vista, run SF as administrator, and see if the drive reappears. You could always reinstall, without uninstalling, and that should also fix whatever has become broken. If XP, are you running an account with full admin permissions.? Just my first thought... (ps, add your system specs to you profile, it'll potentially help anyone help you in future, and it'll be the first thing Sony reps' will ask you to do!) |

Windows XP Service Pack 2, I don't have accounts set up. It is full administrative rights. Everytime I try to reinstall, I get the message to uninstall first. Is there a way around this without totally uninstalling, reinstalling and going through the registration process again. I had issues with the Scanner last week. After installing it, wiped out my audio plug ins in both Vegas and Sound Forge. Windows System restore corrected problem. I only installed the printer drivers, not the full HP program today, Vegas was not affected, only Sound Forge this time. Sure is a royal pain sometimes. Profile has been updated to include system information. Thanks for your reply. Message last edited on3/24/2008 12:44:48 PM byWest. |
