Hey all. I'm using SoundForge 9, and If I want to extract audio from a CD, but convert the audio to a 320 kbps, how would I do that? Is it a matter of 'saving as' and choosing the 320 kbps, or is there a preference to change under 'extracting audio from cd' that will automatically extract at 320kbps? Thanks, Mark |

"saving as" is the way. When you extract, it will extract it to an uncompressed wave file. So simply save as, like you thought. It's best this way too - as you can control any unneccasry silence that may exist between tracks too. |

one more quick question... What is the difference between: 320 Kbps CD Transparent Audio & 320 Kbps CD Transparent Audio, Unicode |

Unicode uses 16 bit characters for titles and labels and this allows all the international alphabets to be used. Without unicode the 8 bit ASCII character set will be used. That's about the only difference. |
