Subject:How to set up playback markers in SF 8?

Recording lecture sessions that last 3 hours in MP3. After cleaning up the tracks, I render them back into MP3 files. How can I insert playback markers so listeners can, for example, skip the first hour of the lecture and listen to the second hour? Or skip the first two hours and listen to the third hour?

Unable to find instructions using SF 8's Help menu or searching the forum.

Thanks.

Split the files, and set up a playlist. Less load on the server that way too.

Kennymusicman,

Thank you for your suggestion. Will look into it.

Alas, I neglected to add that I upload the file to a website that permits people to either stream the audio or download it. I recorded an 8 day retreat with daily lectures in the morning, afternoon and evening. I plan to upload each day into separate tracks for the morning, afternoon and evening. So, the retreat will contain 24 separate tracks, each running about 3 hours long.

I can break the long tracks into smaller ones but that would be burdensome for the host to have so many smaller tracks listed.

Is there a way to embed markers within a track so that iPod-like device users can jump directly to the 2nd or 3rd hour?

Thank you for you suggestions.
