Subject:Midi Trigger for Recording

There is currenlty no Midi trigger for the record button that initially opens the Record dialogue box. I'm using a midi DAW Controller (Frontier Designs Tranzport). I can use the Midi triggers to start and stop recording, but only after I manually open the recording dialogue box.

ANY WORKAROUNDS?
