Help! For the life of me, I cannot burn a CD, and I am at a loss as to what the issue is. I am trying to burn simple music - multiple tracks. I have used SF 6.0 on an XP OS on my old laptop many, many times, with no problems burning CDs. Unfortunately, this old laptop has an electrical problem, and it will not stay running. Otherwise, I'd just say forget it with Vista and SF 9.0, and go back to the old tried-and-true. At any rate, new laptop has Vista OS and I just downloaded SF 9.0. I first tried DVD-R, then DVD-RW, and the error said that the media in the tray was unrecognizable (brand new, never written on). Then, I tried CD-RWs, and SF 9.0 recognized the media. It went through all of the familiar actions of burning one track at a time (CD drive made normal burning sounds, etc), but nothing was written. Windows Media Player is able to write tracks, so the drive definately works. What is going on here? Please help! LeahinPortlandOREGUNfrustratedwithVistaandSF9.0 |
