does anyone know if you can insert a marker while you are listening to data you have already recorded? [and are noting for edits], as opposed to inserting a marker while you are recording, which i have no problem inserting markers along the way.
and secondly
how do you insert new data between existing data that you have already recorded. What happens is that the new recording goes over top and erases instead of the new data fitting between where I put the `curser.
thank you!

Press M to insert a marker at the current cursor position, whether you're playing or not.

Paste / Insert should insert the new material and move the existing material over to the right.

thx for the answers but did you try your suggestion for markers? unless my program has a weird glitch, you cannot hit M or insert marker and have one show up while you are listening for editing.

I will double check about paste / insert. thank you

Your program must have a "weird glitch". I use this function regularly.

Yep. I do this hundreds of times a week. Always works for me.
