Subject:A Cappella song feedback

I'd be interested in any feedback on an a cappella concert I just taped. One song can be downloaded http://www.refproductions.com/SJAM/GardensAudio.wavHERE. We videotaped a two hour production with 3 HDV cameras with mics, but I may just go with this recording from a Sony D-50. It was recorded in 48 kHz, 24 bit. The main problem is that with a cappella voices, sometimes it was much quieter than others, so I set the recording level so that it didn't clip when the volume rose. But you can see that as I had to increase the volume significantly, there is a bit of noise. I didn't make any changes yet, but I'll obviously be using Sony NR. If anyone has any recommendations from their experience with audio, I'd love to get some feedback about what effects or processes you'd use in this case. Some reverb, compression?

Usually the only way to record the full dynamic range of such music successfully, is to use quality microphones, preamps, and recorders. Riding the gain should not be necessary.

Adding reverb with likely clash with the real reverb, and make a muddle. Compression, apart from being an anaethema to acoustic music, will likely have the background noise disconcertingly moving up and down !
