I'm a newbie, and have SoundForge 9. I want to use SoundForge as a mixer to mix two live channels, which I'll play over a telephone line. For test purposes, I'm not recording anything; I merely want to play the results in real time over my computer speakers. As a test, I'm playing music from an internet radio, which I'm trying to mix with my voice from a mic. But to get started, SoundForge wants me to open a file, and there's no file associated with this project. How do I connect SoundForge with live audio? Thanks. Charley Kyd |

Sound Forge can't do anything like this. I'm not even sure why you're trying to do this with Sound Forge, which is a recording, editing, and playback program, not a mixing program. Use a mixer for this. If you are using two different inputs on your sound card then use the sound card's mixer application. |
