I know Vocal Eraser is a plug-in for Audio Studio 9, but is it available for the full version of Sound Forge 9, or is there a way to recreate it? |

IT's not in the full version. THe closest you can get, is to use a technique called "centre channel cancellation" - SF9 does have an option in channel converter to automatically remove the centre channel - the results will vary song to song. Some work, some don't Hope that help a bit Ken |

Virtualdub has a pretty good centre cut or centre keep filter built-in. It doesn't just invert the phase but computes the differences between the channels some how. The results are very good and keep the stereo separation which phase cancelling doesn't. You have to use a dummy video file in order to save the result out as a wave, but that's no problem. I keep a long blank video file for this purpose, Me. |
