How good is Sound Forge at noise reduction? I have a tape of a wedding ceremony that was recorded in front of a waterfall in Bermuda. Wedding vows are very weak compared to the water noise. Client would like me to try to remove the noise or somehow improve the vocal part. I didn't shoot it - just trying to edit it. Thanks

Wedding vows in front of a waterfall are unlikely to show very much improvement by any noise reduction software or approach.

You might try posting a 30 sec. clip of the audio somewhere and letting people here work on it, but eliminating white noise is not possible -- reducing the perceived effects slightly may be possible in limited circumstances.
