Subject:Fader Option - Volume

When I adjust small segments of audio using Process > Volume,
volume faders appear over the waveform. This didn't appear in older versions of Sound Forge, is there a way to disable it.

It's the auto-crossfade feature introduced in Forge 9.0.

1) Select Process->Volume and click the "More..." button.
2) Set Fade In and Fade Out to zero
3) Right-click in the blank area to the right of the fade curves and select "Save Fade Values"
4) Cancel or OK the dialog as desired

Alternatively, in step 2, you could just want to adjust the fade types to linear to ensure smoother transitions (at least for something like Volume).

Note that the saved fade settings apply to any effect applied to a selection.

The next version of Forge will expose these values somewhere more readily discoverable. Also, if this is something you do a lot of, you might find the volume envelope an easier way to tackle multiple operations in one shot.
