I've seen this weird problem a few times now, has anyone seen this?

I select a short peak and make a 3db CUT and it does a ~ 1db GAIN instead!
Yup, I have it set correctly, I double checked.

SF 9.0e on Vista 64.

Open the Volume window and select "More", choose a more linear Cross-fade, such as "X" pattern.
I was also confused by this when SF-9 was released.. way back when.

Thanks, RRAUD.

Ahhh.... the oft forgotten "more" button! It took me a while to realize that the Noise Reduction function also had that change.

I will RTFM to see if I can force all those "more" buttons to be expanded by default. ;-)

You can't force them to be expanded, but you can save the current fade lengths and curves as the default for all effects by right-clicking in the blank area on the right of the More... section and selecting "Save Fade Values".

ForumAdmin: "...right-clicking in the blank area on the right of the More..."

Yup, just tried tried it and it works.

BUT, that's not such a great method.

Err... I mean that's a pretty crappy UI trick, my Mac Fanboy friends will love this! ;-)

SF 10 anyone?
