I don't think there's any software available to do that - wow and flutter is random speed and pitch change. |

I agree -- there is virtually no way to quantify this. |

Wow could be fixed with Effects / Pitch Bend. It would be an absolute nightmare. The speed graph is based on absolute time. However, whenever you make an adjustment it will shift the remaining material forward or backwards so it won't fall at the same time anymore. That means you'd have to make minute adjustments by guess one at a time, then checking to see how close you've gotten and go adjust again. Also, if i recall correctly, the speed graph in Pitch Bend only allows 20 keyframes. That means you'd have to fix the first few seconds, save to a new file, then start all over again for the next few seconds. Is the wow and flutter from the recording deck and part of the recording? Or is it the playback deck? If the latter you might want to look around for a better deck. |

Only possible way something like that could work is if there was a stable reference tone on its own track to chase, like we did on the big 2" machines back in the seventies ... |

Maybe a pitch envelope with Acid ? Would be very tedious to set up though.... geoff |
