Subject:MIDI Interfacing with my MPC 2000 XL

I have already installed the Virtual MIDI Router (VMR)&
configured it, but I don't hear the sequences & sounds from
my MPC....What am i doing wrong! Do i still need to hook
the MPC to my receiver?
