Subject:Quarter Speed recording.

I have a cassette tape was recorded at 1/4 speed. When I
play it back, it sounds like Alvin and the Chipmunks.

I recorded it into Sound Forge 5.0. Is there a method to
reverse this?

Yes, there's a way to correct this. One way is by using
the "time stretch" feature. Just do the following:

1. Open your recorded file
2. Click the "Process" menu and select "Time Stretch"
3. Move the slider to find the appropriate amount of
stretch. If your recorder was running at 1/4 speed, then
set "Final percentage" to 400% (ie, 400% as fast).
