Subject:Audio file is ONLY 3 seconds long

I edit audio that was previously recorded and then post it online for a podcast that I manage. This new batch of audio is all speeches around 30 minutes long or so. They all read the correct length and play properly when I open them in iTunes or Windows Media Player, etc. When I open them in Sound Forge, however, they are all only reading 3 seconds long. I had this happen to one audio file a few months ago and I had to open it in another software and resave it as something else to get it to work with Sound Forge. The files are not protected. I am working in Sound Forge 8.0 in Windows XP. Any help would be much appreciated. I do not see any visible difference in these files from the other hundreds I've edited in Sound Forge. |

But they were .mp3s before and I wasn't having this problem. Also, the source that I am getting these files has not changed either. |
