Unfortunately, 7.0 is the first version that will not run on 98SE, the last version that will run on 98SE is 6. I have the demo file of 6.0e but of course it needs a valid serial number to run. I realize that Sony does not "officially" sell old copies of its software. However I am not looking for an old copy per se, all I wish to do is legally register and activate the demo copy that I have. I realize that such an old version has no product support, manuals, discs, etc. I have no need for any of that, as I am an experienced Sound Forge user. I have been casually looking for a used copy of 6.0 for a very long time (on Ebay, etc.) but no luck.
