Subject:Problem saving in SF Studio 9

When I open an mp3 in SF Studio 9, do some editing, and then click Save (or Save as), it takes a couple hours to get to 9% saved. I finally gave up and switched to another editing program.

I have no problem in Audition 1.5, and I edit videos with no problems. I have 2 gigs of Ram. Any ideas what's happening and how to fix it. I had wanted to switch to SF, but it isn't working.
