Subject:Sound Forge 9 (or 10) - Dynamic Range Expansion

I know all SF versions can do Dynamic Range Compression, and well. How about Dynamic Range Expansion, like the old DBX 118 or 3BX? I've tried to drag the graph tool around in the Dynamics menu, but to avail. Am I missing something, or is Sound Forge missing it? I just received SF 10 in the mail last week, but I haven't installed it yet ... Anybody know anything about this? Thanks! |

If you have a plugin that does dynamic range expansion, then SF can do it. There is not included tools or plugin that does it - SF's compressor does not allow negative numbers for ratio.. Try: http://www.digitalfishphones.com/main.php?item=2&subItem=5 http://plugin.org.uk/ladspa-swh/docs/ladspa-swh.html#tth_sEc2.93 http://pdf23ds.net/software/dynamic-compressor/ geoff |

Effects> Dynamics> Graphic. One would have to manually draw the envelope. |
