Anyone else having problems with new version including saving files? If I make a small change to a file when I press save, changes are not saved..I can only save changes by 'save as' and chosing a different name. Also if I mute a section of a file the whole file is muted from curser point onwards. I am finding the new version very unstable and untrustworthy...

This is an issue with certain "quicksave" scenarios where the bulk of the opened file is intact and Forge attempts to render the file in-place (for faster performance). It will be resolved in the forthcoming update for 10.0.

In the meantime, your options are (a) continue to Save As, (b) set the global media cache size to zero, or (c) enable the "Allow undo past Save" general preference.

Apologies for any inconvenience this has caused.

Is this issue resolved with the 10a update?

Hello. I am afraid that I am still having the saving problem.

When I try to save a file that I have opened and edited, I get a message:

"An error occurred while saving one or more files. An error occurred while opening a codec."

The files that I am working with are 8k 16bit CCITT-ulaw wav.

Interestingly, if I batch process some 44k raw wavs into that format, there are no problems.

I have sound forge 10a, have allowed undo past save, and set the media cache to zero.

What else can I try?

Thanks.

FYI, this is a completely different issue, but I do repro and have added a bug to our internal database. In the meantime, if you just "Save As..." with the default template and overwrite, it should work fine.
