Hi,
I've bought a DV Storm from Canopus and there inside was
ACID Styl 2.0a and ACIS Xpress. There is also a second disk
with "Loops for ACID" for Canupus. I registered the program
and I can start it without problems, but I can open the
loopse. When I search the CD, there are loop fils like
*.wa_ but I can't open them. What can I do?
thx for help

SDaW,

The files you are looking at in Explorer are zipped-
up/compressed wave files, probably intended for part of an
installation or program feature. Try a couple of things to
see if we can't help you through this:

1. Make sure you're in the right directory. All the ACID
CD's contain directories for promotional advertisements,
usually including a few sample libraries. Are you accessing
those instead of the real loops supplemented with your
program?

2. Try copying one of the *.wa_ files from the CD to your
hard disk, and rename the extension to *.wav, and see if
you can open/listen to it. If you can, and you're positive
you're in the right directory, then the file isn't named
correctly for some reason (unless ACID Style has
proprietary loops, which to my knowledge, isn't the case).

3. If you can't play the file after you've renamed it, it's
because it's a compressed file. Go back to suggestion
number one.

Those are my guesses. If I had the CD in question in my
hand, I might be a little more helpful, but at least check
those two things out first. I'll monitor this thread for a
response.

Good luck,
Nick LaMartina
