Subject:riff heading

i got this error message while working on a very important project: "can not open project, a necessary RIFF heading is missing" anybody know what this means? acid locked up when i was adjusting effect 2 and i had to restart my computer. there has to be a way to get back what i had done (11 hours of work!!!!!!!) please help!!! |

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but it essentially means Acid has saved a zero length file. Check the file size to make sure, but most likely your file is gone. -Hex Freeside |

If you've been making somewhat regular saves as, say, Project.acd, your second-to-last save should still be stored in the same directory as your other file with the name Project.acd-bak (unless you de-selected the preference "Create project file backups on save")--we added this feature just for cases like this. Just rename it to Project2.acd, and it should open as your project was two saves ago. Hope this helps, Joel |
