DVD9 media not recognized

Using DVDA 4.5, it seems that it does not recognize a DVD8 (double layer) disk when it is put into the drive.

Specifically, I have 2 hours of video media in DVDA and then want to burn the DVD ... if I try to have DVDA optimize (i.e. fit to disk), it tells me that the media is not large enough to hold the data ... it assumes a 4.7 GB single layer media (apparently). If I manually adjust the bitrate and then proceed to burning the DVD, it does work properly.

Has anyone else seen this ?

Cheers,
Andreas

If your DVDA project properties are set for a DVD5 (4.7GB) disc, you are correct, it will not recognize nor ask for a break point nor burn to a DVD9 disc.

If, however, you set your "Project Media Size" in properties for a DVD9 disc (8.50GB), it will do what you want, assuming DVDA likes your burner and media.
