Subject:Soundforge 8 and windows restarting

HI,

I'm having a problem with Soundforge 8, when I load it up my computer shuts down and restarts.

I don't know if this is a problem with net framwork (2 or 3 - I've uninstalled them with no joy) or window xp sp 3.

Any idea's.

Have you reinstalled SF8?

Please fill out your system specifications in your user profile. Make sure to mark them as visible in your profile.

This could be hardware related. What audio hardware are you running?

Try starting Windows in safe mode. Can you launch Forge with out a problem? If so, it sounds like a driver conflict could be causing this.

You could try starting Forge while holding the CTRL+SHIFT keys. This will force Forge to reset its internal preferences. Note you will loose any settings you may have made.

If this does not work, I would suggest uninstalling Forge, and then reinstalling.
