Subject:SF 10 Pro Not Seen in Sonar 8.5

I just purchased SF 10 Pro. I have seen that the Sony VST's (other than the Izotope) are available within Sonar 8.5. Both programs work perfectly by themselves. After reinstalls of both programs, I cannot get Sonar to "see" soundforge at all. I have no access to the plugins even though I point Sonar to the proper directories. Has anyone else had this problem and/or has a remedy? Thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer. |

The Sony plug-ins' are Direct X. If your looking for them as VSTs, that may be the problem. The Izotope plugs will work only with later version SCS apps. |

Thanks for the reply. The plugins don't show up under DirectX, which Sonar 8.5 is able to use as well. Any other advice would be appreciated. |

Just an update for those who also have this problem. I conacted Cakewalk support and they stated that Sonar 64 bit version does not support 32 bit DirectX plugins at tfhis time. The bitbridge is only for VST's. There are DirectX to VST converters out there that apparently will convert those plugins to VST and allow bitbridge within Sonar to access them. Another option is to install the 32 bit version of Sonar 8.5 which will allow access to the DirectX plugins as they are. |

Thanks for the heads up. Do you know if Sony is planning to release the DirectX plugins as 64 bit? Sergio |
