Hi all! Sound Forge 9.0e(build 441).
This is a comfort question about my
custom Chains. I use dual panes in my
Sound Forge workspace. The recorded
material is in the top pane and my Chain
processor is in the bottom pane. Let us
say I'm processing 10 individual songs.
I process a song...save and close. Then
move on to song number 2. At that point
my 'Chain' workspace reverts back
to an 'Empty Chain'. Is there a setting I can
use to keep my custom Chain visble until
my SF session is over? Sorry to sound
pampered thanks for your help!

In the upper left corner of the effects chain window is a floppy disk icon. Type in a name for your current chain in the blank below it, then click the disk. This will save your chain under that name. When you move on to the next song open up the effects chain window and pull down the list of presets to select your chain. This will restore all the presets you had set up before.

Hi! Thank you for your reply!
I have 5 or 6 custom 'Chains'
already saved. What happens is
when I move onto the next song my
Chains list defaults back to an
'Empty Chain'. At that point I have to
manually select the Chain I was using
for the previous song. I was just looking
for a way to keep the Chain I was using
active throughout the entire 10 songs.

I don't think there is an easy way to specify a default chain, as there is is Vegas and Acid. But it's only 1 click away with a a 'saved' chain.

Thinking about it, it could be very dangerous !
