Keeping Loops at the Same/Right Tempo????? -ACID Product Family

Now I am trying to make a dance file with loops made from some old swing tunes. The original son is 218 BPM. I cade a loop of the drum intro at that speed by recording straight into ACID, but when I editied it to cut out the space at the beginning, it was at the wrong tempo when I played it back in ACID! Why is that? Also, Once I start putting music loops into the file, how can I get them all to match, and then all to be at the right tempo (218 BPM)? Thanks KenRyan
