Subject:importing CD tracks

Hi to everybody.

Sorry for my ignorance, but how can I import CD tracks in
Acid?

Hello,

I think you can only do it in version 3.0 Pro, You go to
tools and select extract audio from CD

Another method that you can use in Acid 3 is to simply use
the media explorer. To do this you would want to locate
your CD drive that has the disk in it throught the media
explorer. Once you click on your CD Rom drive you should
see the tracks on the CD appear in the white area next to
the media explorer (this is called the multi-function
area). YOu can then just drag the track onto the Track View
and it will start to extract the audio.

... and if you do have a previous version of ACID, you can
download a copy of our free SIREN XPress to convert audio
CD tracks to .wav files.



Open SIREN and choose Options -> Preferences -> Ripping.
For "Rip to Library format," choose "Wave (Microsoft)."
Click Apply and Okay. In SIREN's main window, click on
the "Play/Rip CD" tab. Select a track you'd like to turn
into a .wav file, and click the "Rip to library" button
below. A red progress bar on the righthand side of the
track list will tell you the progress of the rip. You'll
find the .wav file in the "My Music" folder on your C drive.
