Subject:constant levels among different recording sessions

I apologize for a very elementary question. I ran a search looking for a specific answer but I'm still in the dark.

I am currently recording some narrations for a online course. The levels of each recording session are consistent, yet there is some disparity when one session is mixed/merged with another. While I am not that interested in correcting the quality (tone, slight echo, etc...) of the recordings, what I would like is to achieve is the same levels/volume across the board. After I normalize each session and then perform a cut/paste job, the levels are still inconsistent...
Do you have any advice or better practices to share with me?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Use RMS normalization in Sound Forge, instead of Peak normalization. That will get you a lot closer.

I don't see where Normalization shows those options. How do I find them?

Sorry, they may not be in SF Studio version. There is a compressor though that will do the same thing.

But if you really just need a quick method to even out the volume of lectures, try the Levelator. It's free.
