I have Acid music 1.0c and can not find a noise reduction capability. How do I get it? I have also downloaded the trial acid 2.0. I have an audio file wqith noise in the background, and I want to voice being recorded to sound fine without the subtle noise in the background. What effect is best used to solve this? Ryan |

Noise Reduction 2.0 is a separate product and it is not included with any of our software. Noise Reduction 2.0 is also a DirectX plug-in, so you will need a DirectX compatible host program to run it. Acid Pro is a DirectX compatible program, but Acid Music and Style are not. Ted |

You really should use an offline destructive editor like Sound Forge 5 for noise reduction. While ACID 3 will let you insert our NR plugin, it is doing the noise reduction in realtime. This is EXPENSIVE as far as CPU goes. NR is just not intented to be a realtime plugin. It is for destructive editing and repair. You should clean up your audio before you bring it into a tool like ACID. Peter |
