Hello, Ok I'll try to explain it, Here goes, 1 beat has 4 subdivisions and 2 beats have 8 subdivisions pretty easy huh. So if you have a file that is k13s5 that would be a kick or base drum on the 1st and 3rd subdivisions of the 1st beat and a snare hit on the 5th subdivision of the second beat which would actually be the first hit in the 2nd beat follow me so far, these files are identified with 2 beat phrases always, so you will always have 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8 and that would make 2 beats. A folder in Rads that is labeled K13 has all the snare variations for the Kick drum 1,3 beats, a steady beat all the way through 2 beats would be written K1357. A file written K13S57 would be 2 kick hits in the 1st beat and 2 snare hits in the 2nd beat. Now the Hihat petterns are only 1 beat phrases so you will only see 1-2-3-4 written to identify hits in 1 beat then it repeats, A * symbolizes a rest and a > symbolizes a accent on a hit. Theres more to it than that but that should get you started you really just have to mess around with them to see what goes together well you can also use just the K files out of rads and then get some symbols out of other loop groups like Rock or DJ and see what works for you. Hpoe this helps See ya |
