Red,

ACID 2.0 does not accept MP3's and CD data directly. The must be converted to wave files (*.wav) first (note that ACID 3 is capable of importing multiple file formats). Here's what you'll need to do (I've written several possibilities. Only use the one that fits your setup):

FOR MP3'S (the mega short version, with Batch Converter):
1. Open Batch Converter.
2. Import all your MP3's.
3. Set conversion to WAV.
4. Convert.

FOR MP3'S (the short version, for generic software):
1. Get a program that can convert MP3's to WAV.
2. Run the conversion. Now you have wave files.

FOR MP3'S (the long version, with Sound Forge):
1. Open Sound Forge.
2. Open your MP3's.
3. Click the "FILE" menu.
4. Click "SAVE AS".
5. Find the drop-down menu near the bottom that lets you select a format. Set it to "WAV".
6. Click save.
7. Repeat for each MP3.

FOR CD TRACKS (for general software):
1. Open your favorite CD ripper.
2. Ask the software to rip tracks to WAV, and nothing else.
3. Rip one by one.

FOR CD TRACKS (longer, for Sound Forge 5):
1. Click the "TOOLS" menu.
2. Click "EXTRACT AUDIO FROM CD".
3. Highlight the tracks you wish to use in your ACID project.
4. Click "OK".
5. After tracks are extracted, save all the files.

There you go. Try any one of the above. I'm certain at least one of them will work for you. Bottom line: Remember, ACID 2 needs WAV files to work with. Anything else needs to be converted.

Best wishes,
Nick LaMartina

I am past converting MP3s to wav's BUT I have different problem. After the conversion, if I try to mix tracks, I can't change tempo on the track that was converted from MP3 (btw, I am using WinAmp for converting, maybe that has something to do with it)
Anyway, thanks for any info.
