Hello all, Newboy to this post. I am not sure If ACID 3 is able to do what I want but here goes (I have recently upgraded from ACID 2). I have written a dance tune of around 5 mins using about 15 tracks. The effect I am after is similar to a 'bass cut' button on tunrtable mixers BUT only for about 30 secs. At about 3 mins in the tune I want the bass to slowly dissapear from ALL the tracks then, at about 3mins 30s, I want the bass to come back. I guess I am after something like an envelope which would effect all tracks at the same time. Can you help. |

Hello, Well here's one way to do it, insert an assignable effect and select paragraphic EQ, and select the preset BOOST BASS FREQUENCIES BELOW 250Hz BY 4 dB, then change the gain from +4 to -15dB the slider to adjust is at the bottom right. then close the effect window, then on the tracks you want to apply it to add an FX envelope and drag the envelope line all the way down to inf. then add points where you want to take away the bass and raise them to your liking if you use the envelope tool you can copy the points and paste them to other tracks so you don't have to keep adding and adjusting to every track after you set them on the first track, one other thing you have to do is click the multi purpose fader and select the effect you just created and double click the fader slider to set it at 0dB for some volume, you can adjust and experiment from there but that should give you a small transistor radio effect with hardly any base. You can also try other EQ's. See ya |
