Hi, It's not the first time i'm talking about this issue -on this forum- that i have since i upgraded. Even with the WelcomeToAcid.acd-zip song, when i clic on the playback button i have to wait about 30 seconds to hear my song and when it has a lot of tracks (like 16 tracks) it stutter when all the tracks are playing together. So last time we tryed to resolve the issue, we found out that it wasn't related with my HDD, soundcard, or graphic card and i'm pretty sure about it. I'm not using any midi options at all, and the playback buffer doesn't change anything to the problem ! Do you have any idea of what this could be ? Here's my hardware configuration : I have a PIII 550, 196 Mb of RAM, a TNT2 32mb graphic card, and a Maxi studio isis soundcard. Thanw for your help ! |

Hello, I thought since you haven't been posting you were all set. But since your not why don't we try something. Try running Acid from a clean boot the way you do this is click start, run, Type in msconfig then click ok then click the tab "startup" then uncheck everything in that window then reboot and try running Acid with one of the songs that skips and if it runs ok at that point then the problem is with one of the programs that are always running when your computer is running. When your finished with this test go back into msconfig and put the checks back in the startup tab and reboot again and your system should be back to normal. Then write me back and let me know the results, and we'll see if there is some programs you can get rid of in the msconfig menu but some of them need to run, All the programs that run in this area use system resources, and can slow your computer down to a crawl. See ya |
