Subject:Separate preferences for Audio possible?

I've been using Sound Forge for doing voiceover work since the Sonic Foundry days. I recently added two separate M-Audio pieces of hardware to replace my old commercial sound card. One is a M-Audio Delta PCI soundcard and the other is an M-audio Firewire A/D interface. I'm trying to figure out the best and / or simplest set-up so that I can record and playback without having to change the Preferences Audio tab each time. I tried to set the "record" tab for the PCI card and the "playback" for the Firewire since that is where my monitors are connected. But of course, it doesn't seem to allow two different settings.

Any suggestions?

Does your version of Sound Forge support ASIO drivers?

With the ASIO drivers installed and enabled, you "should" be able to record and monitor simultaneously on your Firewire interface with extremely low latency, depending on your physical system. YMMV.

Or use the MS Mapper and set Rec and PB devices in that from Control Panel.
