I'm a complete novice & I'm using Acid Music 1.0. How do I turn off the introduction. Everytime I draw a loop, paint it, then play it back, the introduction plays over it.

Did you register the program or just enter the serial number because you have to get an activation code after registering, and also you can diable tips at startup and tell it not to open last project at startup
Go to option then prefs.

You're using ACID Music 1.0? Whether it's the HP version, or the Sonic Foundry version, here's the simple way to get to ground zero.

Go to the File menu, and choose New. That will erase all loops from your project, and you can start from scratch, without the voiceover saying "Congratulations on your purchase of ACID pH1, Sonic Foundry's revolutionary music-creation software...."
