Subject:3.0 skips while playing

When acid 3.0 plays It skips horribly It wont skip if I just play a song with acid
loops but since I record vocals onto it the effects on the vocals make it
skip alot ive turned off all programs besides acid but that didnt work
i even called sonic foundry help line and he couldnt give me the real problem
I went out and bought a new windows program hoping that would fix it ,didnt
what next do I need more MHz maybe a new sound card ,,has this affected anyone else
Please Help.

Hello,

Go into options and go to audio tab and increase buffer slider untill skipping stops mine had to be set at about .80 to work good

I'm running alot of effects and recording guitar into program and I'm running windows ME andPIII 800 proc. and 524 Meg RAM You also need to keep your drives defraged and make sure your loops are coppied to hard disk not running off of CD
