(ACID 3.0) I don't understand.. I saved my project using the "Save as .acd.zip, and the file will not open, and also, where the heck are my WAV files? It says in the help index " By default, ACID will make a backup of project files when you open or save. Backup files are stored in the same folder as your project and use the extension .acd-bak. You can use these files to revert to a project's previous state". This is nonsence! There are no other files in that folder other than the ACD.ZIP file that won't open anyways.. What gives??? What happened to "Save with embedded audio"??? Sorry to say, I love your products, but this was a terrible move. NOT user friendly at all!! Thanks for any help.... |

Hello, When you do a save as you can put a check mark in the box that says Copy All Media With Project and it will save as a regular Acid project with all the media in the same folder with the project. As far as the Acid-Zip file goes are you opening it in Acid or Win Zip? See ya |

Guess I'm an idot or something but I thought that 3.0 would read and open the ZIP file since it was a "save as" option.... I don't have any ZIP extractors as this particular system is purely an audio based system... IE I only have windows and my ACID, VEGAS, and Cubase programs on it.. Thanks to your help I did find that when you save the project as a regular ACID project, it will save all of the audio tracks (WAV files) in the chosen folder.. The 2.0 way was allot easier to me.. Guess I'll have to get used to it.. I do however love the ability to extract WAV or other files from a CD.. that is an awesome feature, and this version has some other great advantages, (300.00 worth? I don't know)) I just wish they would've left the "Save as embedded audio" feature.. Much more user friendly as I said before.. Also, the lag when adding effects SMOKES Vegas.. Outstanding.. I also have no studdering problems that I had when adding mega effects in Vegas...This in itself rules!!! PIII 600, 256 Ram 27GB 7200RPM HD Just for the record.. Anyways, thanx for the response!! |
