And yes, I HAVE entered this in the "Artist" (CD Text) Metadata option. Where else can I enter this info so Microsoft reveals it? Grazie |

Tell us more... Where are you hoping to see the artist info displayed by Microsoft? Windows Media Player perhaps? It doesn't support CD text so you won't see it unless you install the patch for it by web searching for: wmp cd text plugin Jesse |

You are presumably mistaking what Windows Media Player displays with CD-TEXT. They are not the same thing - WMP derives track/artist info from GraceNote. Wiki GraceNote and CDDB for an explanation. geoff |

Oh! - When you look at a file, here a WAV file, in a MS Folder, there are many columns. I have one named "Artist". And yes,I know about CD-Text. It was purely the MS Column names which has "Artist" as part of the info. I've got "Album Title"; "Year"; "Duration" and so on. TIA Grazie |

in a MS Folder You keep saying "MS." I'm going to guess that you mean Windows. I'm going to guess further that you are looking at Windows Explorer. If those guesses are accurate, then right-click the filename and pick Properties. Click the Summary tab and make sure you're looking at the Advanced view, not Simple. In the Property column, you will see Artist. Click in the corresponding Value field and type in whatever you want. But you want SF to do it for you. I don't think that's going to happen. Steve, I followed your instructions, but I can not enter anything as there isn't an Artist Filed there? There is a column named "Artist" within the MS Folder though. Grazie |
