When recording "What U Hear" with SF8 I get mono audio. Records in stereo when using Cakewalk. Any idea why this is? Message last edited on6/27/2010 11:18:42 PM byRobert P. |

This is assuming your sound card settings are okay. - Open SF and open the "Record" window. (Ctrl.+R) - At the top left of the Record window, confirm the 'Sample rate, Bit depth and Channels' "Recording Attributes" .. For normal music recording: 44,100 - 16 Bit - Stereo. - If it needs changing, select the "New" button and change. - Set the "Device" pull-down menu settings for your particular sound card or Sound Mapper. Make sure it's NOT set to a only Left or Right. When saving, make sure you are saving in a stereo format as well, be it WAVE, MP3 or whatever. If further editing or processing is desired, always save in a non-compressed format like .wav to avoid degradation. SF-9,10 has: - 'Channels' pull-down menu in main Record window. Yup, it shows stereo. but it's only picking up mono. If I record the same audio with Cakewalk it picks it up in stereo. |
