Subject:Any way to go between Acid Pro 2 & 3?

I decided to upgrade to AcidPro 3 and it looks pretty good. But (doofus me), I forgot to check my laptop for system req. And when I go to save a file done on AP 2, it gives me the prompt that warns it'll change the file. So, any way around this so I can again use both computers? The laptop is only a PII 266. Close enough? Got enough RAM, though (barely). |

Hello, I would use a faster computer than a 266 if you can. If you already installed and want to switch computers you can call Sonic Foundry and they will give you a new activation code but you can't have the program installed on two computers. And I don't understand your question about using 2 & 3 Pro, But I do know that they can both work together on the same computer, to use the same projects, you have to save the project file for Acid 3 as a different name. Sorry, guess I wasn't very clear. The laptop is a 266 & on it is my old Acid 2 Pro. My desktop has plenty of firepower & has the Acid 3 on it. I want to be able to work on songs when I travel & read the files on both the laptop & the desktop (acid 2 & 3, respectively). Are you saying I can? I get what you're saying about renaming, but is there any way to open that Acid 3 file in Acid 2? Many thanks for the help, BTW. |

Hello again, No you can open Acid 2 files in Acid 3 but not the other way around, and if you make changes to a project file that was created in Acid 2 in Acid 3 and don't rename it, it will no longer play in Acid 2. See ya |
