Subject:FX STILL not enabled after new install of SF8

I had to reinstall Windows and reinstalled SF8, none of the effects seem to work - reverb, Acoustic Mirror, I try to bring them up and I get a "buy Acoustic Mirror" prompt screen etc. I find there's nothing in the various FX folders - Sony, VST etc.

It all worked fine when I had it installed previously.

Any suggestions?

Thought I had it fixed. Did a Windows update which included some stuff about .net Frame updates, reinstalled SF8 and it worked but now is back to the original problem.

This is an error message I'm getting as a prelude to this malfunction.
