Subject:Crashing of Real Player after Acid Pro 3 install

Installed Acid Pro 3, everything went fine and Acid works flawlessly. However, now RealPlayer will not stream audio. Gives Invalid Page fault at Kernal 32.dll. Video WILL stream, but crashes with the same error at completion of stream. Everything worked fine BEFORE install of Acid Pro 3. Driver conflicts?? How would I tell, hate to uninstall/reinstall Acid when it is working. Contacted Real, they had me uninstall/reinstall, do the registry dump, blah, blah, blah, but still getting message. Did I see a Real plug-in on install of Acid? Any suggestions? Has anyone else had issues with RealPlayer? Thanks.

Question was real player icon active down in your systray when you installed Acid? If maybe, I would try doing a clean reinstall of Acid 3, you wont loose your projects just copy them to a different directory then delete the Acid directory and the Sonic Foundry Acid Install directory after you uninstall through Add Remove Programs, and start fresh install making sure you shut down everything in the background exept Explorer and Systray, by doing Cntl Alt Delete comands to end tasks on the programs.

That might fix your problems.

See ya

try unchecking "use optimized video display" in Real's preferences- we've seen problems with that.
