Subject:Runtime Error

I had a perfectly functioning version of Sound Forge 10b running in Windows 7-64 Pro, that now crashes on launch with a message of "This application (Forge100.exe) has requested the Runtime(Microsoft Visual C++ runtime Library) to terminate it in an unusal way. Please contact the application's support team for more information."
I have uninstalled Sound Forge, also all versions of the Visual C runtime, and reinstalled to no avail. Error continues to occur.
Anybody have any suggestions on how to get Sound Forge working again?
I have CD Archchitect 5.2, Vegas Pro 9 and DVD Architect Pro 5.0 all of which continue to function normally.

I had recently installed the BlackMagicDesigns "Intensity Shuttle" USB3 device with there standard software suite.
I have now verified, that if the "Intensity Shuttle" is not plugged in to the USB3 port, the runtime error occurs in Sound Forge, and if the "Intensity Shuttle" is plugged in to the USB3 port, the error goes away and Sound Forge functions normally.
