I am new to sound forge v10. I have used Audacity for several years. My venue is a house of worship. I record the services in Audacity then export to WAV. file to burn CD's. I then use Audacity to export to MP3 to put on the internet. My question: How can I/can I, record in sound forge in WAV file then export the recording file into MP3 to upload to the web site? |

SF records in the WAVE format by default, only when it's initially saved other than a WAVE, would it be re-rendered. So your quality is optimized by: Record, then save it as a .wav> Edit/Master> Save as another .wav> If stereo is unnecessary, (spoken word recordings for instance) save the WAVE in mono. (half the file size of a stereo wave) To render an MP3, "File> Save as> Save as type>.mp3" (Set your desired MP3 quality parameters and ID text via "TEMPLATE" or modify the quality via the "Custom" settings button within the save widow. (Search my other posts on the MP3 stereo/mono-file size architecture) I don't know if it's possible to upload directly from SF. Message last edited on8/27/2010 4:28:11 PM byrraud. |
