Subject:Problems recording with Acid 3.0

Hello,
I'm having trouble recording with Acid 3.0. Everytime I record, It records what
is one the entire track with the track I record. For example, if I record a
bass track, it records all the loop files along with it on the same track.
I upgraded my Delta 44 drivers for Sonar. Maybe this is the problem? I'm not
sure because I just installed Acid 3.0.
When I go to the Audio preferences, it doesn't have my Delta card there,
just the Windows Clasic Wave Driver.
Any tips? I have 2.0, and that worked fine. Only problem
now is the Acid project files aren't backwards compatible.
Thanks,
Matt

Hey Matt,
(A) Go to OPTIONS>PREFERENCES>AUDIO then click on ADVANCED this is where you get to choose you playback and record source. It should be listed there.
(B) go to START>SETTINGS>COTROL PANEL> Double click on MULTIMEDIA go to AUDIO and make sure you sound card is what's selected under playback and record.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the tip.
I did go to OPTIONS>PREFERENCES>AUDIO then click on ADVANCEd...
I choose the Delta, but it still doesn't see it.
My Delta is the default windows card.
Any other tips?
Thanks again,
Matt

At this point, you should UNinstall Acid 3.0 Pro and make sure you delete any hidden files in the registry (warning! Do not delete anything else under Registry). shut down the PC, wait 10 seconds and reboot. Reinstall Acid. Hopfully, this time, Acid should detect your installed card.

Right click My Computer Desktop Icon> Select Properties Then> Select Device Mngr. Leave Computer highlighted then> select Properties. This brings up a winbdow with your installed devices and their IRQs, Check your Delta Cerd it should only be sharing with PCI Steering Holder and nothing else! If it is you may have a conflict. Also I had to get the latest drivers for my Delta for it to work. And after you select Windows Classic Wave Driver do you see anything in the drop down list below that one because that's the one where your Delta will show up in.

See ya
