Subject:Icons - Different for mp3 and wav files

With, and up to, SF 9 and XP, a different icon could indicate a saved mp3 file and another icon indicate a saved wav file making it easy to see immediately which was which in a folder’s “list.”

How can that be accomplished with SF 10 and Windows 7?

This has nothing to do with SF or SCS, and is an OS issue.
It was real easy to change icons in XP (and earlier ver.s) However starting with Vista, MS removed the option. (Why? Probably to 'dumb-down' the interface like a Mac.)
There are third party app.s that return the option.
I don't know if any of this applies to Win 7.

So, that being the case, you mention "third party apps that return the option." Do you have any suggestions, or good key words to use to search for such an option?

Sorry, I uninstalled it. (30-day trial version) As I recall, JJ or something like that. Registry cleaner, tweaker, a suite of app.s.
One can edit the registry manually, but do not go there if your not an OS expert.
